HR Advisor

Are you a highly organised HR Generalist with a good understanding of employment law and employee relations? Do you take pride in building rapport and providing an excellent service?

We are looking for a part-time HR Advisor to join our team, working 3 days / 21 hours (Tuesday, Thursday & Friday).

You’ll be joining as one of our People Operations team, supporting our colleagues at the British Heart Foundation (BHF) with all employee life cycle matters. You’ll take pride in being the first point of contact for queries. You will provide guidance on:

our policies procedures all things ‘people’ that cannot be answered through self-service You'll enthusiastically build rapport quickly as well as knowing when you may need to pass the baton over and work collaboratively with the specialist team members across the HR function, including People Relations, Recruitment, People Technology, Payroll and Benefits.   You’ll be part of a team that takes a pro-active approach to lead, not just respond to requests, so there’s plenty of development opportunities as well as making the role your own.

Working arrangements

This is a part-time position working 3 days / 21 hours  (Tuesday, Thursday & Friday). This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London Office. 
 
The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you must be prepared to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause. Most of our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office each week, on average.

About you

We are looking for someone with previous HR experience managing a broad range of HR queries, ideally in a large complex organisation. You'll have knowledge and experience using a HR/People System and excellent attention to detail.

You'll have up-to-date knowledge of employment law and solid working knowledge of ACAS codes of practise. CIPD qualified Level 3 would be beneficial.

As one of our People Operations Advisors you will: have strong communication and interpersonal skills be well organised and efficient have excellent attention to detail have strong IT skills with experience in MS Office be a team player capable of multi-tasking and working under pressure with minimal supervision be a self-starter, with a can-do attitude ensure you find the best possible outcome for the customer and our cause
