Job Purpose
Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Business Partner, the HR Advisor will be the 1st point of contact for providing support and advice to line managers on the operation of our integrated HR systems, Company Policies and Procedures, Well-Being and Recruitment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provision of day to day HR advice, support and practical guidance to line managers, for Newport sites. Input and Maintenance of the local HR Systems Supporting the full life cycle of the employee Supporting with recruitment interviews up to and including Supervisory level, including communication with candidate and central recruitment team Producing and preparing of Offer letters and Contracts for new employees Producing & sending out letters confirming changes to terms & conditions for employees Maintaining Global HRIS System for all sites Maintain accurate and up to date job descriptions Ensuring an end-to-end process for on-boarding for all employees is in evidence and fully documented, paying particular attention to all required new starter paperwork Conducting exit interviews for leavers Absence Management Controls – liaising with Line Managers and supporting with capability case management, to review and evaluate relevant action Regular meetings with Departmental Managers to discuss holidays/recruitment/current issues Supporting & assisting with investigations/disciplinary/grievance interviews up to and including Supervisor level Essential Duties and Responsibilities Skills / Experience / Qualifications / Competencies Qualified to CIPD level (Upto Level 5) (Essential) A good standard of education, numerate and literate Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal skills Meticulous attention to detail imperative as is the ability to work to strict deadlines Able to prioritise workload Flexible and adaptable to meet demanding business needs Ability to demonstrate initiative and self-motivation
