We are currently looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join us at our M&S site in Thorncliffe. It’s a transformational time for our site and you will get the opportunity to support the HR Manager with truly shaping and influencing the operational direction and culture, whilst embedding the GXO values. Using your skills as an ‘enabler’ you will play a pivotal role in helping to take the site (and your GXO career) to the next level!
This role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis, and the hours of work are Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00, however should you prefer there is the option to work 08:30 – 16:30 or 09:00 – 17:00.

You’ll be paid a salary of £35,000 - £37,000 per annum, depending upon experience. What you’ll do on a typical day:
Provide quality advice and consultancy support to line managers on employee relations, including managing discipline and grievance matters and end to end support of the absence management process Proactively monitor and provide the HR Manager with management information relating to HR matters, such as HR statistics for employee headcount turnover and absence Take a lead on employee engagement for the wider campus, driving engagement events and activities, communications and employee surveys Liaise with relevant reporting lines within the business to manage the recruitment process against planned recruitment and training plans
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Experience in a similar generalist HR role with a good knowledge of employment law, HR policy, practice, employee relations and change management approaches CIPD qualified/part qualified or studying towards would be beneficial Excellent communicator, able to lead by example and build long term relationships Be adaptable and able to work within a rapidly changing environment
