HR Advisor & Payroll Administrator (Fixed Term Contract)

We now have an opportunity for an HR Advisor & Payroll Administrator to join our manufacturing site in Havant, Hampshire, on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract basis.  Reporting to the Site HR Manager, this role will be responsible for providing HR support to the Havant manufacturing site, with a headcount of approximately 180 employees (both salaried and hourly paid workforce), as well as participating in local and regional HR projects as required.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:


•    Manage monthly payroll process, working with third party vendor and ensuring all compliance controls are met.
•    Manage all employee changes, new hires, and terminations in local HR and absence management systems, ensuring Danfoss HR systems are accurate and up to date.
•    Create contracts for hourly paid employees, change letters for internal moves and resignation acknowledgements for leavers.
•    Lead the onboarding process for HR, in support with line managers and other departments. 
•    Support with employee relations cases, including meeting facilitation and guidance to line managers.
•    Managing the back-end requirements of the self-service HR system and updating Knowledge Articles as required. 
•    Manage exit interviews and analyse data to provide insights into patterns/trends and drive actions.
•    Contribute towards the development of HR policies and procedures to drive continuous improvement.
•    Superuser of absence management and self-service HR system.
•    Manage recruitment process for hourly paid employees, including supporting hiring managers with interviews.
•    Support Managers with management of short and long term sick cases, including Occupational Health referrals.
•    Coordinating annual salary review and bonus payments.
•    Supporting change management initiatives to elevate HR operations service.
•    Adhoc projects to support employee engagement and wellbeing.

Background & Skills

We would expect the successful candidate to demonstrate:

•    A qualification in Human Resources or another relevant academic background, with experience of working in a manufacturing environment being advantageous
•    Experience with HR administration and basic payroll processing
•    Experience working in busy, fast paced environment with high volume of tasks
•    Task-focused, organized, and able to prioritize day to day. 
•    Strong communication skills. 
•    Able to learn and utilize new technology.
•    Understanding of UK employment legislation and its application within HR policies and processes
