Global Employee Services (GES) is a global contact center operation responsible for providing solutions to any inquiries about Intel Human Resources (HR) products and services related to payroll, benefits, focal, performance management, medical and religious accommodations, executive services, and escalation support for Intel’s 100,000+ employees and dependents around the globe.
We are searching for a meticulous and experienced Data Analyst to join our team. The HR Data Analyst’s scope includes collecting and analyzing HR data, spotting trends and anomalies, developing and implementing data-driven insights and forecasts for HR initiatives, improving HR strategies, reporting on key performance indicators, and assisting management in making data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities:
Collect and analyze HR data and metrics to identify important trends and provide predictive analytics.Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management.Conduct statistical analyses to understand relationships between various HR activities and organizational outcomesIdentify trends, patterns, and inconsistencies in HR dataCollaborate with management teams to understand data needs and provide solutionsDesign, develop, and maintain HR reports and dashboards to track key HR metrics using data visualization tools.Assist with implementing and maintaining HR information systemsEnsure compliance with data protection guidelines and confidentiality requirements.QualificationsQualifications:
An ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate proven experience as an HR data analyst or similar role and be skilled in statistical analysis, HR systems, and database management. The candidate should be able to analyze and present complex data in a simple and comprehensible way and have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
A demonstrable combination of some the following skills is preferred:
1. Data Analysis Skills
Statistical Analysis: Understanding of key statistical methods (mean, median, mode, standard deviation, variance, correlation).Data Cleaning & Transformation: Ability to clean, format, and preprocess data using tools like Excel, SQL, or Python.Data Modeling: Familiarity with creating and analyzing data models (relational models, entity relationship (ER) diagrams).Descriptive Analytics: Using data to describe trends and patterns (e.g., trend analysis, forecasting).Predictive Analytics: Leveraging historical data to predict future outcomes (e.g., regression, classification, clustering).Correlation and Regression Analysis: Understanding relationships between variables and applying linear/non-linear regression models.2. Data Management & Querying
SQL: Writing basic SQL queries to retrieve, join, and manipulate data from databases.Database Management: Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and basic knowledge of NoSQL databases.Data Warehousing: Understanding how to extract data from data warehouses, and familiarity with Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes.3. Data Visualization & Reporting Tools
Microsoft Excel (Advanced): Proficiency with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, and macros.Visualization Tools: Intermediate proficiency with tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio to create dashboards and reports.Charting Techniques: Using appropriate chart types to represent data (e.g., histograms, bar charts, scatter plots).Reporting Automation: Automating reports using tools like Power Query or VBA for Excel or RDAs with UiPath.4. Technical Proficiency
Python/R for Data Analysis: Using Python or R for intermediate data analysis tasks.Business Intelligence (BI): Understanding of BI tools to gather, analyze, and visualize business information.Advanced Excel Functions: Use of INDEX/MATCH, data tables, array formulas, and solver add-ins.Data Mining: Discovering patterns and insights from large datasets (e.g., clustering, classification).5. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
Gap Analysis: Identifying discrepancies between current and desired performance.Root Cause Analysis: Investigating the underlying causes of data issues or business problems.Cost-Benefit Analysis: Using data to weigh the benefits of various business decisions.SWOT Analysis: Evaluating strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in data and business contexts.6. Soft Skills Related to Reporting
Data Storytelling: Ability to communicate insights clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Presentation Skills: Proficiency with creating presentations in PowerPoint.Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with different teams to understand their data needs and present findings clearly.7.
