HR and Employee Development 12-month Internship (May 2025 – April 2026)
Note: To be eligible for this role, you must be a student returning to full time studies in the fall or required to complete a co-op/internship in order to fulfill a program requirement.

To bring your passion, creativity, communication, and organizational skills to help our team meet our goals and objectives, while you develop practical skills and gain experiences to complement your education and training. This is a 12-month internship beginning in May, 2025.
Job Responsibilities:
Lilly Canada is looking for a student who can take an active role in progressing various projects aligned to our People Strategy. Most notably projects that include Employee Benefits, Health and Safety, Employee Development, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion plans, and other important HR related project work.
HR Project work and responsibilities include:
HR Education campaign: Develop and implement a strategy to increase Manager and Employee awareness of HR initiatives throughout the year; support communications and initiatives to highlight Lilly Canada benefit programs.
Health, Safety and Wellbeing: Participate in various Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Accessibility initiatives, aligned with Health & Safety objectives, employee survey feedback and Lilly Canada’s Safety Culture Plan and AODA commitments.
General HR projects: Support HR team with projects as needed in multiple areas, including benefits, pension, onboarding, development, recruiting, payroll and manager resources.
Employee Development: Assist in the development, creation, delivery and evaluation of our Develop U Day affiliate learning plan.
Onboarding: Optimizing Sharepoint Sites to support our Connect U new employee onboarding experience and the resources available to new hiring managers
Employee newsletter: Weekly oversight and execution of employee newsletter, and implementing improvements including transition of newsletter content to LillyNow intranet platform; measure employee engagement to drive future improvements
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy and LillyNow intranet site: Assist in the execution of our DEI strategy (including recognition day plans, development of “DEI moments plan” to support new employee on-boarding and integration of DEI into Team touchpoints); Assist with uploading content, links and resources, and supporting DEI related communications and plans
Qualifications and Experience:
Strong internal motivation, and a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies
Strong written communication skills
Ability to work with cross -functional teams and build relationships
Can work well independently
French language skills an asset
An interest in diversity and inclusion
Proficiency in Sharepoint is an asset
An interest in Health, Safety, Well-Being and Accessibility
Enrolled in University/ College program – ongoing and/or defined post-graduate internship as defined by academic program (Human Resources or related discipline preferred).
