Job Title: HR and Payroll Administrator

Location: Italy

In this role you will be responsible for the HR and Payroll administration for employees in Italy.

As the People (HR) function at BSI undergoes a transformative phase, your role within the People Advisory team will be pivotal in guiding and supporting our workforce.

This role will provide a positive colleague experience and efficient service to our stakeholders and the business. The role aligns with BSI’s future focus and culture while also contributing to the setup and improvement of localised processes and policies.

Collaborating within the wider People function, this role will deliver a consistent, industry-aligned service. Identifying and addressing policy gaps, supporting the development of improved procedures, and ensuring compliance with local employment law in partnership with the People Services Team leader and the People Partner.

Core Responsibilities:

Provide a high-quality People Services administration service in accordance with service level agreements and statutory/business expectations.

Manage administration tasks to support People team activities, including starters, leavers, transfers, and maintaining Workday records.

Timely and effective resolution of Tier 1 People Services queries, escalating when necessary.

Ensure GDPR compliance and the proper maintenance of colleague records for accurate and timely management reporting.

Support, coach and guide Managers and colleagues in using Workday and other systems.

Deliver high standards of People Services delivery, supporting the Colleague Lifecycle processes.

Skills and experience:

Strong HR administration / Coordinator experience essential.

HR experience in Italy/Italian Employment Law .

HR Advisory experience is advantageous.

Fluency in speaking Italian.

Experience of working within a pressurised and commercial business.

High standards of accuracy, quality and efficiency, and a strong service ethic.

Proactive and enthusiastic team-player and relationship builder.

Competent written and verbal communication with active listening.

Relevant education or training in HR, business administration, or a related field.
