Position Summary: Contiem is looking for an HR Associate to support the HR function, focusing on talent acquisition and HR operations. The ideal candidate must have a basic working knowledge of both fields, an eagerness to learn, develop their skills and grow into a senior role within the company. The candidate needs to demonstrate personal initiative, drive and motivation to build a long-term career in the HR Function. Duties and Responsibilities: The candidate will work closely with the Managing Director to understand the HR Agenda for the Chennai office, and, over time, help build systems, practices, policies, and procedures while supporting employee engagement activities. The candidate will also work closely with the global HR team to maintain corporate alignment and compliance with both internal and external policies and regulations. This is a sensitive role, and the candidate needs to be aware of and maintain high standards of confidentiality. The Fundamentals + Maintain accurate HR records and employee personnel files. + Maintain the company’s employee handbook and ensure it is always current. + Create onboarding and offboarding packages. + Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being. + Assist in employee-related matters. Talent Acquisition + Post, manage, and track job postings through Contiem’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS), social media, college job boards, and other avenues. + Maintain communication with candidates and recruitment partners. Such as status updates, coordinating interviews, rejection notices, etc. + Source and review candidate CVs. Conduct initial screening calls. + Ensure coordination with candidates, recruitment vendors, interviews, and managers, etc. + Ensure the completion of new hire onboarding, orientation, and training plans identified during the hiring process. + Assist in creating weekly recruiting and other tracking reports. + Develop and update job descriptions as per hiring needs. + Create and manage resume alerts for open positions. + Seek Contiem’s participation in external recruiting events and prepare recruitment materials. + Other duties as assigned. Other HR & Administrative Tasks + Gradually take on Office administration requirements for supplies, health and safety, and compliance. + Coordinate with payroll administrators to ensure that compensation, merit, and bonus changes are implemented in a timely and correct manner. + Assist with the performance review process, sending merit increase memos, etc. + Facilitate and track training sessions and workshops as needed. + Be a part of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) for POSH and attend meetings regularly. + Assist with enhancing the benefits program and maintaining benefits documentation. + Keeping current with local HR & Labor law requirements for the state of Tamil Nadu. + Keep up to date with professional and technical HR knowledge through networking. + Organize and oversee internal events, travel, celebrations, and meetings, including room setup, catering, and logistics, etc. + Other duties as needed. Required Experience: + Master’s degree in human resources, Business, or an equivalent field. + Maximum of 2 years of experience in a human resource position, with experience in end-to-end recruitment process. + Excellent and effective English communication skills - spoken, verbal, and written. + Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. + Organizational awareness and time-management skills. + Knowledge of HR laws and regulations is a plus. + There will be a mandatory written and verbal English test as part of the interview process. Reporting: This position reports to the Managing Director, Contiem, India, with a dotted reporting to the Director of Corporate HR.
