Posting Title: Benefits Coordinator
Department: Human Resources
Location: Omaha, NE
Reports to: Human Resources Manager
Answers moderately complex employee questions regarding benefits and records employee enrollment in benefits and group insurance programs. Works with employees and third party organizations to resolve issues related to eligibility for benefit plans, amounts of coverage, and claims procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Excellent customer service skills, including good oral and written communication.
+ Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Able to calmly and effectively handle stressful situations.
+ Results-oriented. Excellent problem-solving and follow-up skills.
+ Computer knowledge required (prefer experience with SAP and/or Kronos with proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook).
+ Bilingual skills are highly preferred. (English/Spanish)
+ Prior experience preferred
+ Must be able to work flexible hours, primarily from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, which may include weekends. Twice a year, hours will be from 10:30 am to 8:00 pm, and once a year for one week, hours will be from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Responds to moderately complex employee inquiries by phone, written correspondence, and/or email regarding vacation, short-term disability leave, long-term disability, workers' compensation, disability, 401k plans, pension and retirement, and other plans.Delivers employee presentations on benefit programs.
+ Explains and interprets more complex aspects of insurance programs to employees and dependents.
+ Coordinates the administration of employee benefit programs such as benefit plan coverage, dental insurance, group life insurance, pension plans, and other benefits.
+ Consults with and advises employees on eligibility, provisions, and other benefits-related matters.
+ Coordinates the preparation of employee benefits booklets and other employee benefit communications.
+ Assists with the coordination of the annual enrollment process.
+ May research, analyze, and integrate data to provide information on benefit programs and utilization.
+ Facilitate Better Futures Program
+ Face-to-face customer service skills when assisting production employees with employee benefits (primarily in Spanish and English).
+ Handle confidential information.
+ Professionally answer phones, take messages, and direct calls appropriately.
+ All other duties as assigned
