HR Business Partner

We are looking for an experienced HR professional to undertake HR Business Partner role in India who will support the business, and the Regional People team in developing, driving and delivering the People elements of our business plans and other HR priorities. 

 

Your main responsibilities will be to: 

 

Support the business with their People need for development and delivery of the business strategy, monitoring progress on the People Business Plan elements and providing updates to the Unit and Region as required. Work collaboratively with key business stakeholders and members of the Regional People team (including other HR Business partners) to understand and articulate what capability is needed to deliver the business strategy. For example, work with key stakeholders e.g., Unit Exec members, Resource/Talent Managers, L&D, TA etc to establish what capability the business has and what the external market has to offer, modelling and matching the supply and demand of talent. Work with key stakeholders to undertake a gap analysis for talent. Establish and manage the critical risks in meeting talent requirements and implement a talent strategy and tactical plans to satisfy the business strategy, embed Talent and Succession Management. Ensure that the teams within the function e.g., TA, L&D etc deliver to the Unit’s expectations and are continuously improving. Measure the performance of the talent strategy and plans, feeding back through to the Unit Exec to ensure there is continuous iteration and improvement. Work with the key stakeholders to identify critical roles and where appropriate, engage early, collaborate with and support the talent acquisition team to establish requirements, thereby enabling the effective acquisition of external talent. Engage and work with key stakeholders to improve Employee Engagement, developing, owning and leading the Unit’s engagement action plan. Develop partnerships and network for talent scouting. Work with the business and other HR team members, incl. the Regional EDI Manager to embed our EDI Strategy. Regularly review salaries against the internal and external benchmark data and make recommendations to the Unit Exec for addressing any anomalies. Lead the bonus and salary review process for the Unit, analysing data and reviewing trends as required. Deliver the senior Promotions and Appointments process in the respective Unit and support the HR Manager with the bi-annual process (reviewing scorecards and papers). Support the HR team with coaching, challenging.We suggest replacing ‘challenging and’ with one of these alternatives - Questioning and supporting on general HR issues. Provide robust advice on all HR issues, policies, terms and conditions of employment and employment / immigration legislation. Work with the business to ensure people are fairly selected for the internal Learning and Development programmes (Emerging Leaders etc.) Work with the business and HR team to mitigate risk and provide challenge, advice and guidance accordingly. Support with the provision of workshops to upskill and develop the HR community in India and across the ISMA region. Contribute to Exec meetings, Resource calls, HR & Talent Acquisition meetings etc. Develop robust employee welfare and well being initiatives periodically. Devise mechanisms for employee feedback to ensure Mott MacDonald is a great place to work and grow. Support ISMA and/or Group projects as and when required. 

 

Candidate Specification : 

 

Degree qualified and will be chartered or have an equivalent level of experience. You will have a good understanding of Strategic Workforce Planning and Talent Management, preferably with experience of implementation. Strategic focus with the ability to balance tactical operations with strategic initiatives and achieve through others. You will have well developed leadership capability and a track record in managing and delivering HR projects. Comfortable with driving change, demonstrating ownership, enthusiasm, energy and influencing skills You will have well-developed interpersonal skills, an ability to collaborate and build relationships with colleagues at all levels across the Group. An inclusive leader with experience of embedding EDI in all that you and others in the function deliver. You will have excellent presentation and communication skills. You will demonstrate strong organisational skills and exhibit excellent attention to detail. You will have excellent knowledge of HR practices and policies as well as Employment legislation. You will have excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills. Ideally has experience using SAP SuccessFactors or a similar
