Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Regional HR Director and in conjunction with the region’s subject matter experts (SMEs), this role will support one or more operating division(s) in all HR-related matters such as employee/labor relations, HR policy guidance and interpretation, performance management, talent acquisition, organizational effectiveness, training and development, compensation, and benefits. Responsible for building manager capability to lead staff and drive employee engagement. Coach and counsel managers on employee/labor relations issues; investigate alleged policy or procedure infractions, document findings, and recommend remedial measures as necessary. Champion and promote a positive workplace culture environment, providing appropriate counsel and support to ensure that any Employee Relations processes are delivered to maximize organizational effectiveness Conduct internal investigations regarding workplace issues such as employee complaints, discrimination, and harassment. Identify root causes and provides guidance and recommendations for problem resolution. Have effective, regular interface with employees and line managers to understand performance barriers and to develop creative solutions to overcome these barriers. Engage with all levels in assigned Divisions and attend operational activities, meetings, and special events to foster and promote an effective partnership. Demonstrate knowledge of HR policies, practices, and guidelines to monitor and provide advice regarding compliance with all policies and Federal and State employment laws and regulations. Partner with HR colleagues to develop and/or facilitate programs to support business objectives and staff development in addition to providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. Provide full-cycle recruitment efforts and activities within the department. This position will help support operations at our West Sacramento, CA location (20% travel). Qualifications Experience in a progressively responsible Human Resources Generalist or Business Partner role. Working knowledge of human resources policies, practices, and tools. Demonstrated familiarity and knowledge of Federal and State employment laws and regulations. Strong consultation and problem-solving skills; effective communication and presentation skills. Time management and organizational skills necessary to multi-task and prioritize workload. Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Human Resources or related discipline. HR (SHRM SCP/CP; SPHR/PHR) certification preferred Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business, or any related field. 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resource Management or any other related field.
