HR Business Partner

We are looking for an HR Business Partner to join our team in Tooele, UT. In this role, you will be responsible for a broad range of human resources activities designed to ensure an adequately trained, compensated and motivated workforce is available to meet the company's current and future organization needs.  This role will report to the Business Unit HR Manager and will support our manufacturing plants located in Tooele, UT.

 

Schedule:

8 AM to 5 PM with occasional need to work on other shifts to meet with employees, etc.

Mon – Fri

 

Job Responsibilities:

Provide coaching and consulting to managers and employees in the areas of performance management, compensation, employee retention, workforce planning, leader and employee development, positive employee relations practices, policy development and conflict resolution. Serve as point of contact on human resources policies and procedures, responsible for guidance to all employees to ensure consistent adherence to these, and effectively support and foster the company’s Open-Door Policy. Administer the employment function, including recruiting and screening of applicants, counseling managers in final selections and compensation, and coordinating employee onboarding. Facilitate the use of any temporary employment agencies and managing the job posting system for internal/external candidates in accordance with company and legal guidelines. Coordinate and conduct benefit open enrollment and assist employees with questions and changes. Support company-led safety initiatives. Administer worker’s compensation, employee leaves of absence and related. Respond to requests for information related to unemployment compensation, etc. Coordinate, facilitate and/or assist in training activities for assigned locations (i.e. orientation programs, respect in the workplace, leadership, etc.). Payroll assistance and support for assigned locations. Maintain all personnel records in accordance with EEO, privacy, and related requirements. Model and promote strong teamwork. Coordinate and ensure regulatory compliance with respect to all facets of employment. Performs other related duties and participates in special projects.
