Catalent Greendale is one of Catalent’s gummy technology development and manufacturing facilities in North America. The site manufactures organic and vegan-based nutraceuticals via confection to enhance wellness for all consumers. Simply put – we make healthy gummies. Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Business Partners’ primary duty is to provide support as it relates to people issues, strategies and initiatives. Responsibilities include supporting recruitment, developing strategic relationships within the community, supporting leaders with employee relations concerns, proposing solutions to people related issues, and providing counsel to ensure compliance on people related policies and procedures. The HR Business Partner will support HR projects as needed, managing succession planning process for assigned site and keeping up to date with changing HR related regulations.
The Role:
Uses best practices and knowledge of internal and external business issues to improve services. Solves complex problems; taking a new perspective using existing solutions. Maintains HR Systems (Workday, Workforce Dimensions, etc.) and oversees weekly and bi-weekly payroll as the HR Partner. Conducts complex employee relations investigations, providing summaries and analyzing risk per policies and legal requirements. Partners with legal to finalize resolutions and provides recommendation to HR Director. Provides counsel to employees and leaders on HR issues, organizational structure and development. Develops and facilitates training for employees and leaders to meet regulatory compliance.Develops employee engagement strategies in collaboration with Site Leadership Team. Partners with functional leaders in the organization’s strategic planning efforts, providing insight on vital HR concerns and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.Works in partnership with our talent partners (TA) and functional leaders on recruitment, selection and placement of talent. Participates in and supports the site Talent Management Program, facilitating leader training, identifying gaps in succession and working actively to bridge the gaps with functional leaders.Ensures compliance of company policies, procedures, plans and programs dealing with specific HR activities to meet the site’s business plan and competitive strategy in a cost-effective manner. Maintain compliance within the performance management process. Ensures compliance with laws and regulations related to employees and their relationship with their employees and completes appropriate agency (EEOC, DOL, WCI, AAP) audits.Serves as a cultural change agent for the Greendale site. Ensures that organizational strategies, structure and processes are consistent with evolving business needs. Other duties as assignedThe Candidate:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in HR, Management, Psychology or related field. Master’s degree preferred.PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification a plus. 4+ years of related HR experience required. Experience supporting a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.Must have advanced HR knowledge related to regulations (Title VII, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc.) Demonstrates basic understanding of risk management skills and how issues can impact the site.Advanced PC skills and knowledge of company specific software packages (Workday, Workforce Dimensions). Also has in-depth experience using Outlook, Word (including mail merge) and Excel (including formulas and pivot tables). Visio experience a plus.Holds general knowledge of COE functions including but not limited to benefits, payroll, compensation, HR Technology, recruiting, talent development and communications.Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak clear English.This is an office-based role. Physical requirements include remaining stationary at desk for extended periods, occasionally moving short distances. Requires near vision for extended periods of time working on a computer. Regularly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.Why you should join Catalent:
