HR Business Partner

Job Purpose

To facilitate and integrate alignment to Nedbank CIB Human Resources processes; practices and provides advice and services to optimise Human Capital within Nedbank CIB by operating as a strategic business partner.

Job Responsibilities Address business needs and improve results by providing and delivering solutions relating to human capital through systems, products and projects. Deliver required HR people results by managing the adherence to all HR policies, procedures and legislation regarding the full HR value chain. Continuously develop professional and Human Resources knowledge through identifying training and courses for self development. Share knowledge and educate team and colleagues in areas of expertise and thought leadership. Successfully obtain acceptance and buy-in from stakeholders for proposed projects, systems, products and services through stakeholder engagement. Ensure strategic alignment between HR and line business by aligning HR objectives with business strategy and objectives. Incorporate the business strategic elements into the HR objectives by interpreting HR strategies.  Participate in the development of the business unit  business plan through alignment of HR strategy with the overall business strategy. Meet business needs by identifying specific HR initiatives and turning them into viable projects. Deliver value, long term efficiency, productivity and sustainability to the business by managing the delivery of projects. Consult on all HR policies, processes and procedures by providing advice to line business. Support transformation goals by assisting with the facilitation and implementation of change and transformation processes and activities. Promote culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by encouraging awareness of diversity amongst stakeholders. Monitor and analyse employment equity trends, and ensure corrective action where necessary by interpreting staff turnover trends and its impact on transformation. Continuously improve business work methods, processes and systems through research, analysis and value adding solutions to Nedbank. Review HR work methods, processes and systems for continuous improvement. Provide input into transformation tools for measuring actions and behaviours of leaders through participation in culture and employee surveys. Understand and meet client needs through building relationships and networking with internal and external stakeholders. Develop collaborative and professional internal relationships with the HR fraternity for alignment and meeting line business needs. Smooth the work flow by seeking opportunities to share and educate stakeholders in areas of expertise and thought leadership. Continuously develop professional and HR knowledge through identifying training and courses for self development. Share knowledge and educate team and colleagues in areas of expertise and thought leadership through team meetings, presentations and general discussions. Successfully obtain acceptance and buy-in from stakeholders for proposed projects, systems, products and services through stakeholder engagement. Understand and meet client needs through building relationships and networking with internal and external stakeholders. Develop collaborative and professional internal relationships with the HR fraternity for alignment and meeting line business needs. Comply, monitor and take corrective action relating to risk standards by flagging people risks and incorporating risk management aspects back into the HR processes. Essential Qualifications Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree Preferred Qualification Honours HR related degree Essential Certifications SABPP registration preferred, IPM registration preferred Minimum Experience Level 2 - 4 years experience in HR generalist consulting role CIB experience  Technical / Professional Knowledge Business metrics applied to the HR function Employee engagement methodologies Employment Equity / DTI plans/labour legislation Human Resources systems Principles of project management Remuneration policies and principles Company policies and procedures Company vision and strategy Forecasting HR needs Job analysis and profiling approaches Mediation and conflict management processes to use between managers and employees Behavioural Competencies Building Partnerships Earning Trust Decision Making Facilitating Change Resolving Conflict Business Acumen Sales Persuasion Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills Employment Equity Statement
