About This Role
Provides HR leadership and strategic partnership to the center leader & direct reports in Australia. Oversees delivery of HR services, including talent management, engagement, employee relations, compensation & benefits, performance management, change management, decision support on human capital, etc.
This role must have integration within the business units, the regional and corporate HR support team. Contribute to & execute HR strategy as well as execution of the global HR mandate that drives business results through people. Local presence with global mindset, ability to work with internal local and across regions, and external stakeholders including with authorities and offices to solve any people and organizational issues. Manage reports, overview of employees, consultants, and ensuring compliance in any work processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to influence, acts as a trusted partner with Leadership Team, able to handle people and organization matters tactfully and responsibly Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including business partnering, organizational development, recruitment, learning, compensation practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management Work on special assignments as per business needs Keep informed, updated, and communicate various HR policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations Ensure payroll (outsourced) compliance and reporting for Countries responsible are managed appropriately and compliant Provide local HR support for international assignees locally and ensure statutory compliance matters are managed for international assignees. Work closely with Cross Border team should there be any challenges related to international assignees as and when required Escalate any non-conformance or potential actions which may have negative legal implications for the Company Lead and support execution of local and global HR initiatives for countries supported Responsible to oversee operational work systems, administrative for respective locations within APAC Responsible for overseeing recruitment requirements, workforce planning is conducted effectively to ensure readiness of the organization aligned to the local/country/global processes Maintain close contact with business leaders in support as the business partner Lead and develop individuals carrying HR functions Participate at the business leadership table – contribute to strategy formulation & execution, influence clients and colleagues, diagnose and resolve problems, and positively influence change To live by CAE Values
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum professional Qualification/Degree in Human Resources or any other relevant field 8+ years of experience within HR (of which 3-5 years should have been in an HRBP role), Change Management, Organizational and Competence development holding HR advisor role with leadership.
Experience with Australian labor laws is a must.
The following experience / expertise will be key for success in this role:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of corporate structures/cultural diversity, HR operations skills, matrix/MNC organizational processes, complexity, local employment regulations, payroll and social security requirements as well as tax compliance
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work efficiently both within a team environment and with limited supervision
