HR Business Partner

The Role:

HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated disciplines. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to employees and business units that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the discipline’s financial position, midrange plans, culture and competition.

Reporting & Team

• The HRBP will report to the HR Director, India

• Individual Contributor and serves as a coach and mentor for other positions in the organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Conducts periodic review meetings with respective Discipline leads

• Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate

• Analyses & reports trends and metrics in partnership with the HR leadership & Discipline leads to develop solutions, programs and policies

• Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, including employee grievance redressal. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations

• Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance

• Connect with all employees on regular basis, through various avenues viz. skip meetings & one-on-one connects

• Drive employee satisfaction surveys (participation, action plans & follow-up)

• Provides regular performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions)

• Works closely with leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention

• Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation

• Leads institutional certification of our practices & employee engagement (e.g. GPTW & Best work places)

• Provides support & guidance to managers & leaders on promotions and internal transfers

• Provide HR policy guidance and suggest new HR Strategies

• Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters

•Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning

• Responsible for career architecture implementation & champion the locations needs in related global forums

• Supports OD lead in training needs identification for business units and individual executive coaching needs

• Supports the engagement agenda in partnership with the Experience lead

• Supports drive the DI&E agenda for the organisation, in partnership with the Discipline leads and DI&E lead (Global & Local)

• Responsible for POSH implementation & compliance, in partnership with POSH Committee’s presiding officer & external member(s)

• Responsible for identification of critical roles and creating programs mitigating risk in partnership with Discipline leads

• Responsible for succession planning for all leadership roles, in partnership with CEO & HR Director

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies

• Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven work experience as an HR business partner for at least 5 years

• Excellent people management skills, as an influencer

• Thorough knowledge of labour legislation

• Full understanding of all HR functions and industry best practices

• Graduate or Postgraduate in HR or equivalent qualification
