We are looking for a hands-on, strategic, and driven HR Business Partner to work alongside a talented regional HR team to support our business in Chile to achieve our ambitious growth plans by focusing on our most important asset, our people.
The HR Business Partner is responsible for supporting the end-to-end HR function in the country and deploying regional and global led programs, including recruitment, talent management, HR operations, compensation, and benefits. With support and collaboration from regional centers of excellence, this role will identify and drive key priorities to engage and develop our employees, as well as position Fugro as an employer of choice in the country.
Job Responsibilities
Build strong relationships with key local and regional stakeholders, both in the business and HR, maintaining a focus on operations and process improvement to ensure the highest degree of integrity. Also, develop strong relations with client’s representatives to manage HR topics.
Directly support the Country Manager and the local management team in strategic people matters, change management, organizational effectiveness needs and operational continuity.
Maintain a continuous improvement approach, identifying strengths and enhancement opportunities for the HR Operations, as well as the candidate and employee experience.
Oversee day-to-day support for employees and managers on diverse matters including hiring needs, recruitment, pre-hire processes, onboarding, data updates, payroll, internal policy questions, amongst others.
Manage employee relations matters, conduct investigations, advise managers, etc.
Work alongside local management team in ensuring efficiency in organizational design, support the talent planning process, succession planning, key talent development and manage training needs.
Ensure compliance with company and country HR policies, laws and best practices.
Partner in owning Workday system transactions, updates, and data review. Work with management to advise on personnel changes and effect those changes using proper internal processes.
Drives a diverse & inclusive culture as well as engagement initiatives in the country.
Lead and develop the local HR team to accomplish the department and the local business objectives, as well as their professional progression.
Partner with the Head of HR for Americas, country HR Managers and COE Leaders on key projects and initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s in Business & Administration, Human Resources, Psychology or related field.
7+ years of work experience in roles of increased complexity.
Proven experience in managing multiple aspects of the Human Resources function.
Excellent communication skills, with oral and written fluency in English.
Desirable experience in union relations.
Strategic mindset and proactive approach in business partnering.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Ability to drive change & influence others.
Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Process improvement oriented.
Experience with Workday is a plus.
