PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Under general supervision of the Director, Talent Management, leads the day-to-day support services of the Human Resources Service Center by assisting employees with HR related inquiries and/or requests, or directing employees to the appropriate area of HR for assistance. Proactively utilizes ServiceNow data to create communication and training plans for employees. Responsible for the oversight of employee on-boarding and implementing practices and procedures that demonstrate service excellence. This role acts as the lead contact for retail and subsidiary human resource operations, and acts as a liaison to ensure policy alignment, compliance, and coordination.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Serves as an interface and strategic business partner between internal/centralized GROWMARK HR teams and decentralized GROWMARK facility, retail & subsidiary (field) HR contacts to ensure effective delivery, coordination and alignment of HR policies, programs, and practices.
Coordinates regular collaboration between internal GROWMARK HR teams and GROWMARK facility, retail, and subsidiary (field) HR contacts to assure the broad and transparent sharing of information to support planning and preparedness ahead of program, policy or process changes. Creates HR related communications, as needed, in coordination with the HR business area. Supports HR areas with regular periodic communications and programs. Coordinates new Retail/Sub HR on-boarding with GROWMARK HR COE’s collaborating with departments to create comprehensive training agendas.
Leverage and compile quarterly ServiceNow data to maintain service level agreements and establish a holistic and targeted HR Service Center communications strategy through cross-departmental coordination that is inclusive of facility, retail and subsidiary employee audiences in alignment with GROWMARK brand standards.
Acts as the lead role and primary back-up for the day-to-day functions of the HR Service Center and directs/coordinates activities with the HR Service Center Specialist serving in a mentor capacity.
Provides unsurpassed customer service, general guidance, and information to employees on human resources programs or policies including, but not limited to, employment, compensation, benefits, payroll, recognition and reward programs, retiree and gift programs, and general human resource policies and procedures.
Researches and responds to employee questions or concerns in a timely manner. Coordinates with the Compliance team on grievances or complaints to ensure a timely and appropriate resolution.
Provides oversight to the employee onboarding process, ensuringthe full life-cycle of the GROWMARK New Employee Orientation process is meeting specified standards through quarterly survey reviews and making adjustments as needed with all stakeholders involved in orientation. Coordinates with the Talent Management division to ensure a wholistic and meaningful onboarding and orientation process.
Supports GROWMARK enterprise employee engagement initiaitives, developing communication plans and engages with project planning to meet defined goals.
Facilitates termination processing which includes completion of the termination checklist, workflow/transaction initiation within HRIS, providing guidance to supervisors, and processing PTO payout calculations.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of cyclical HR practices and programs including health and welfare plans, open enrollment procedures, performance review, incentive and merit processes. Assist the HRIS, Payroll and Comp teams that includes data entry of employee transactions, managing workflow approvals, position management and other processing as needed.
Generates and leads training and support for, Employee Self Service (ESS), Manager Self Service (MSS), I-9 system, Perceptive Content, or other HR Systems, as needed. Responsible for maintaining HR kiosks content and provides leadership, training and support for HR kiosks located throughout the System.
Maintains confidential employee records and documentation for use in unemployment and compliance investigations. Coordinates and administers the access, authorization, and maintenance of all electronic employment personnel files. Provides training and leadership to users on the electronic employee file system.
Support general human resources projects including mergers, acquisitions, and program implementations.
Strategically reviews and update the HR SharePoint and EmployeeCentral sites.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Serves as a backup for the Manager, HR as needed and supports interim HR retail and subsidiary roles as needed.
Supports Mergers & Acquisitions as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a bachelor’s degree in human resources or business field with five years of related experience to demonstrate the ability to research, troubleshoot and communicate on human resources related topics.
Proven leadership skills and the ability to achieve results through others.
Proven customer service, teamwork, business writing, communication, and business etiquette skills. Must also demonstrate the ability to retain confidential information.
Ability to read and interpret HR Data to spot trends, make recommendations and aid in decision making.
Understands basic continuous improvement (Six Sigma) tools and methods to identify opportunities to increase efficiencies and remove waste.
Must have experience and be comfortable working in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint. Must be willing to learn new software and systems that support HR functions and programs.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
Ability to work hours beyond those considered “normal”.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and able to travel independently and overnight when necessary.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
