HR Business Partner I

Come join the leader in advanced EV batteries! www.lgenergymi.com Summary As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing support and leadership to both a manufacturing and a corporate office environment. This position provides guidance for and partners with company leadership and drives HR strategies and initiatives that positively impact overall business performance and HR metrics. The HRBP functions as a change agent and a strategic partner for the business. Responsibilities: + Coach/counsel leadership on employee relations and performance related topics + Conduct investigations and resolve complex employee relations issues + Monitor team level headcount gaps & partner with assigned leadership and the HR team to determine solutions + Facilitate and advise on performance management matters, to include, but not limited to: corrective actions, separations, investigations, hourly and salary evaluations and goal setting cadence. Partner with leaders to address poor performers. + Advise on the interpretation of company policies, practices, and procedures + Identify gaps in policies, practices and procedures and propose revisions to drive positive culture change at the team and corporate levels. + Analyze turnover and team-level trends. Partner with team leadership to identify and implement actions that drive improvements. + Guide team leadership in organizational structure decisions and changes. + Maintain a frequent presence on the production floor to learn the details of the business, establish a partnership with your assigned teams and get the voice of the employee (VOE) + Determine needs for Supervisor training. Facilitate and train on a rotation with other HRBPs + Provide input on strategies/programs needed to improve overall team member experience + Analyze HR and business trends in order to provide feedback on the efficient and effective delivery of HR products and services + Partner with your assigned teams to support the implementation of new HR strategies, policies, plans, and procedures within assigned teams + Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws + Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards: + Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain + Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container + Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in a related area required, or equivalent, relevant experience + HR Certification (PHR/SPHR or the SHRM equivalent) preferred Experience: + 1 to 3+ years as a HR Business Partner or HR Generalist or related experience + Experience in a manufacturing facility preferred Skills: + Ability to communicate effectively with all levels + Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and integrity + Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment + Proficient with HRIS and Microsoft Office + Strong coaching and conflict resolution skills
