Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc., a global leader in industrial lift trucks, is seeking an exceptional HR Business Partner I or II to join our team in Billerica, Massachusetts. In this role, you’ll be a trusted advisor and collaborative partner to site leadership and employees, driving human resources strategies that support workforce engagement, development, and performance. 

** Please note: this role follows a hybrid schedule with four days per week onsite *

  

What you will do: 

Deliver HR Solutions: Provide guidance across core HR functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, workforce planning, organizational development, compensation, and policy administration. 

Coach and Consult: Build strong relationships with leaders through coaching, influence, and strategic partnership to help them achieve business objectives. 

Support Divisional Initiatives: Collaborate with HR operations and cross-functional workstreams to support continuous improvement, HR transformation, and project delivery. 

Drive Talent Strategy: Partner with recruiting and learning teams to attract, retain, and develop talent. Support training efforts aligned with organizational needs, career development, and succession planning. 

Ensure Compliance: Apply working knowledge of employment laws and ensure HR practices meet legal and regulatory requirements.

What you will need: 

HR Business Partner I 

Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field 

1–2 years of generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment 

Familiarity with HR functions including employee relations, recruiting, and benefits/payroll 

HR Business Partner II 

Bachelor’s degree in HR or business (Master’s in HR preferred) 

3–5 years of HR generalist experience (0–2 years of leadership experience preferred) 

Manufacturing experience a plus 

 

Skills, Experience & Abilities       

Solid knowledge of employment law and HR practices (EEOC, FMLA, COBRA, etc.) 

Strong relationship-building, coaching, and consulting skills 

Comfortable managing conflict and resolving employee relations issues 

Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities 

Proficient in Microsoft Office; HRIS experience (Workday preferred) 

Strong written and verbal communication skills
