HR Business Partner Sr

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.

2.    Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. 
3.    Coordinate with HR system leadership to effectively and consistently administer the HR function for McLeod Health on the assigned campus to include Talent Management, Benefits, Compensation, Organizational Learning and Employee Care.
4.    Fosters and maintains positive relationships with other HR Team members, serving as an interface between employees and HR operational team members to ensure effective definition and delivery of employee programs.
5.    Attends meetings and serves on hospital committees and teams as assigned and in various professional, civic, and community committees and Boards as a HR representative of the Hospital.
6.    Serves as a resource for employees and managers with concerns, where their interests may be at risk within the policies of McLeod Health and employment laws for resolution of problems arising in the workplace and/or personal life that may negatively impact job performance.
7.    Serve as internal expert for the assigned area to provide advice and counsel on all aspects of Employee Care programs, events, policies and practices including but not limited to: employee services, HR policies, internal reviews, leave of absence, open enrollment, hardship analysis, Dispute Resolution, third party inquiries, employee appreciation functions, service awards, employee forums, employee survey administration and response. 
8.    Maintains ongoing, up to date  Advice and Counsel data using established Human Resources practices. Provides periodic reports relating to patterns and trends of issues and concerns. Evaluates information, identifying retention and employee relation problems. Communicates and reports data as requested.
9.    Provides consultation and mediation as needed for problem review and resolution
10.    Maintains visibility, serving as a listening post to employees by following established HR Partner Rounds practice. 
11.    Directs special projects and research into human resource policy and legal precedents. May assist in writing policies and processes to support department objectives.
12.    Facilitates and/or provides training programs to support all Human Resources and Employee Care initiatives.
13.    Ensures appropriate Employee Care metrics for service and quality measures are met and appropriate analysis and trends are monitored and reported.
14.    Assists in the coordination of employee events including but not limited to Service Awards, Hospital Week activities, etc.
15.    Maintains up to date working knowledge of current state/federal legal and regulatory legislation along with McLeod Health Policies and Procedures in Human Resources Services Delivery.
 

 

•    Minimum of four years HR Generalist and/or Employee Relations or related experience 
•    Minimum of two years leadership experience, may be in or out of HR field
•    Knowledge of Federal and State Employment laws, regulations, including but not limited to FMLA, FLSA, ADA, ADEA, EEOC, NLRA, ERISA.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related science from an accredited school
