HR Compliance & Policy Assistant
(Onsite M-F)
This Is What You’ll Do:
Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, OHSA, and other relevant legislation and updating compliance policies accordingly. Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with specific regulations or requirements. Conducts assessments to identify potential compliance risks and partners with key stakeholders across the HR team to develop. Assists in developing and implementing compliance training programs. Assist in evaluating current and new policies to drive consistency and enable the business to optimize performance. Maintains documentation of compliance activities, including policies, procedures, and training records Keeping management informed of any compliance issues or risks. Corrective action plans to address compliance deficiencies. Stays up to date with industry best practices and regulatory changes. Provide administrative support for the Occupational Health and Safety Manager. Support safety audits and inspections, including preparation, documentation, and tracking corrective actions. Schedule and coordinate safety meetings, training sessions, and inspections.This Is What It Takes:
Minimum of one to two years’ experience in HR business and compliance administration, or a related discipline. Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Requires excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills, customer service focus, self-motivation, and ability to perform multiple tasks with minimum supervision. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and responding to problems timely. . Ability to use all Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
