Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a HR Consultant for the department of University Human Resources. This position serves as an embedded resource to the New Brunswick Chancellor’s Office, ensuring the efficient processing of HR transactions. The role focuses on addressing operational bottlenecks related to hiring, compensation, and classification processes, including drafting job descriptions, offer letters, and other HR documentation.
Among the key duties of the position are the following: Serves as a dedicated point of contact between the Chancellor’s Office and University Human Resources (UHR), ensuring that the human resources needs of the Chancellor’s Office are met with a high level of responsiveness and accuracy. Works in collaboration with the New Brunswick Chancellor’s Office Chief of Staff and HR Team to manage and expedite HR transactions, with a specific focus on streamlining workflows and resolving delays. Assists in seeking guidance on policy interpretation and ensure compliance with university, state, and federal regulations, as well as collective bargaining agreements. Works closely with UHR leadership and Senior HR Consultants to understand the unique needs of the Chancellor’s Office, providing transactional HR support and ensuring alignment with broader HR policies and procedures.
