HR Coordinator  Non-exempt  $51,000 - $68,000

 

 

Purpose:

 

We currently have an opening for a Human Resource Coordinator at the Newport Mill, located in Cayuga, Indiana. The facility has approximately 180 employees and is a union facility.  The HR Coordinator reports to the HR Manager. 

 

This position is an exciting opportunity for someone who desires to be part of the Newport Mill Human Resource team working to support and assist the employees at our mill. This position requires confidentiality, organization and the ability to realize the work is time sensitive and that accuracy is a high priority. We are looking for an individual that enjoys interacting with all level of employees in the mill and understands the importance to uphold the rules and regulations while finding the best possible solution for the employee. The candidate will need to prioritize multiple human resource job functions including staffing, record keeping, compensation, and benefits. Administrative experience is required and confidentiality expected.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Maintain timely and accurate records in SAP related to positions, job assignments, salaries, etc. Build positive employee relationships by providing outstanding service to our members and appropriate referrals to additional resources (i.e., the ESC, Sedgwick and other benefit providers). Provide guidance and information about policies and past practice. Manages Kronos: Workforce Manager System for absence record keeping and payroll submissions. Troubleshoots payroll and timekeeping issues. Coordinate all aspects of the employment function, testing, interview scheduling and preparation, and new employee orientation support. Handle highly confidential information on a daily basis with discretion and professionalism. Fulfill regular reporting requirements to the state and corporate, and provide administrative support to HR team as needed. Pay close attention to detail. Will provide back-up support to safety and lead team as needed.

 

 

Requirements:

 

High school diploma or equivalent

3 years of Administrative Experience required

Experience in SAP desired

Kronos experience preferred

Human Resources/ Payroll experience required

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related Business field preferred
