HR Coordinator - Talent Acquisition **GENERAL DUTIES** Provides information and services to the College community to support the Human Resources function. - Prepares and executes various personnel transactions involving employee recordkeeping, processing of new hires, pay administration, and recruiting - Maintains an understanding of policies, procedures, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements relevant to human resources - Organizes and processes employee information; develops and maintains reports and queries; assures data accuracy and completeness - Responds to requests for information; troubleshoots issues, follows up and responds to employee inquiries - Assists HR managers with employee communications of all kinds; may prepare materials, conduct orientation sessions, or update web pages - Performs related duties as assigned. LaGuardia offers more than sixty associate degree and certificate programs, as well as dozens of workforce training, ESOL, GED, and pre-college programs. In 2023, LaGuardia served approximately 25,000 students. More than one-third of our degree-seeking students were born outside of the United States, coming to LaGuardia from 136 countries and speaking forty-three heritage languages. More than half are first-generation college students. Sixty-nine percent live in Queens; the rest live in Brooklyn and beyond. Approximately two-thirds of our degree students receive financial aid. Reporting to the HR Specialist, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator will assist with talent acquisition activities for the College. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: + Assist with the coordination of the day to day recruitment and onboarding activities as part of the Talent Acquisition team; Review and proof-read job descriptions, preparing job postings, and coordinating advertisements for job searches; + Maintain PRAssist for part-time employees; reviewing and processing pending PAF’s and performing CUNYFirst entries; + Maintain the CUNYfirst (Peoplesoft) Talent Acquisition Management (TAM) module: reviewing and responding to applicants' emails, screen resumes and prepare job offers and close searches; Create reports and trackers for recruiting, interviews, follow-ups, background checks, rejected candidates; + Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and CUNY policies for all talent acquisition activities; Work closely with the Affirmative Action Office on matters concerning job searches and sending appropriate correspondence to applicants; + Assist with identifying and implementing efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the recruitment need, industry standards, and the needs of the organization by collaborating with the Employment Services and HRIS teams; + Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions when necessary; + Liaises with third party agencies, where necessary, especially for senior level positions, and discusses placement fees with third parties; + Process recruitment start-up documents by coordinating with hiring departments to initiate the search process; + Assist with conducting training for the CUNYfirst TAM module and hiring committee orientations; + Coordinate and track the approval process of searches in CUNYFirst; Coordinate and track purchase requisitions for job advertisements and agency partnerships; + Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Specialist or designee. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** Bachelor's Degree required. **OTHER QUALIFICATIONS** PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS + Knowledge of PeopleSoft Talent Acquisition Management module (CUNYFirst), Microsoft Office suite and current federal, state and local employment laws and regulation. + Past success in a fast-paced, continually evolving environment using proven time management skills, prioritization skills and working with a strong sense of urgency. + Knowledge of full cycle recruiting process and success drivers. + Detail-oriented with strong analytical and research skills. + Effective writing, editing, proofreading, oral and interpersonal communication skills. + Strong work ethic and ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard employee information, and handle all documents with sensitivity. + Bilingual skills are a plus. **COMPENSATION** $44,411 - $51,781 Salary is commensurate with education and experience **BENEFITS** CUNY offers a comprehensive benefits package to employees and eligible dependents based on job title and classification. Employees are also offered pension and Tax-Deferred Savings Plans. Part-time employees must meet a weekly or semester work hour criteria to be eligible for health benefits.
