Maverik's Spring Intern Program is designed to provide a structured learning experience, equipping interns with the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career. The internship will run from March 2025-June 2025, with a commitment of 30 hours per week. This opportunity is exclusively available to full-time students currently enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university.

As an intern, you will play a pivotal role in improving the People Team's reporting processes, with a focus on Cognos Business Intelligence, user feedback, and report standardization.

Summary of Internship Project:

Contributing to the People Team’s reporting processes with a focus on Cognos Business Intelligence and user feedback.

Throughout this internship, you will achieve the following:

Gaining practical experience with Cognos Business Intelligence and other BI tools. Learning how to create dynamic, user-friendly reports. Working on improving the consistency and user experience of the People Team’s reports. Assisting in auditing existing reports and updating them to ensure they are current and non-redundant.

In this internship, you will work towards:

Contributing to the People Team’s reporting suite by:

Creating dynamic Employee Roster reports in Cognos BI. Collecting and analyzing user feedback to improve reporting consistency. Auditing and updating active scheduled reports to eliminate duplication and outdated content.

The successful candidate should possess:

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with users and teams. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools. Basic knowledge of BI tools (such as Excel, Tableau, Cognos BI) is a plus.

Qualifications:

A full-time college student that has completed their sophomore year by the beginning of the internship Currently enrolled at an accredited university seeking a degree related to the position Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Strong attention to detail Willingness to learn about supply chains and vendor management Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Works effectively and cooperatively with others
