Position: HR Field Operations Generalist
Reporting directly to the Field Human Resources Manager, as an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for being the first point of contact for all HR queries, and a range of HR functions such as recruitment, performance issues, on-boarding, employee relations, policies, and procedures etc. You will be responsible for providing in-house HR advice, support and guidance on a wide range of HR matters to all employees and managers on site.
What you’ll be doing:
Participating in and supporting managers with full case management on ER cases.Advising and aiding managers with all aspects of the company absence policyManaging any long term absence for a return to work or terminations, including occupational health referrals.Support, coach and challenge line management with disciplinary and grievance issuesAssist in delivering training to line managers to ensure they understand and comply with HR policies and procedures.Providing HR Admin support across the whole employee lifecycleSupport the effective communication and implementation of HR policies such as parental leave, flexible workingSupport and drive employee engagement on siteSignposting employees to the relevant support where applicable -SIMON and Employee Shared ServicesBuild positive and effective relationships with unions and agency suppliersSupporting the line managers, coordinate the various end-to-end recruitment campaigns, including preparing job adverts, facilitating shortlisting, interviews and carrying out exit interviews.Working with the wider business, incorporate and implement a full Onboarding process for new hires (including any relevant Occupational Health Audio Testing/ Driver assessments)Coordinate and follow up the completion of probationary / performance reviews.Support the Early Career Framework and the Apprenticeship programmeProduce interpret and present monthly, end of year and ad-hoc HR KPI’s and reports (staff turnover, sickness absence, leavers, new starter surveys, diversity & inclusion, etc)Accurate and timely administration and maintenance of all HR database and systemsSupport the development of an HR framework for the business, including designing forms, processes, systems and templates.Ensure wellbeing, inclusion and engagement initiatives are carried out.Support the wider HR and management team in all aspects of HR projects and initiatives as required.Promote company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, contractors and other external contacts.Working with the Plant Managers on succession planning and talent managementPayroll data preparation in line with payroll cut offsParticipation in audits such as BRC and ethical auditsThis position is located in Chesterfield and Bradford.
