HR Generalist - 2nd Shift

Position Summary

The HRG consults team members, managers, and leaders on employee-related matters and the deployment of company strategy. HRG partners with leaders to understand organizational needs and processes to achieve high performance. The HRG provides proactive and reactive support for employee relations, investigations, and coaching and counseling to ensure compliant and efficient business operations.

Role and Responsibilities

Second Shift (6pm-2:30am)

•Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and HQ-driven training.
•Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
•Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
•Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
•Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
•Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
•Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
•Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
•Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
•Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Second Shift (6pm-2:30am)

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Leadership, Psychology, Business Administration/Management, or related discipline
2. Certification: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, and or SPHR certification is preferred.
3. Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in human resources.
4. Knowledge/Skills: Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in an extremely fast-paced environment; firm conflict resolution and critical thinking; the ability to influence leadership and maintain a high level of confidentiality, flexibility, and adaptability; excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; self Starter and highly motivated
