HR Generalist
Description We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Farmers Branch, Texas. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting two growing business units by providing guidance on corporate policies, facilitating HR-related approvals, and collaborating with managers and employees to resolve human resources challenges. This is a long-term contract position with opportunities to make a meaningful impact on employee relations, talent management, and organizational development. Responsibilities: • Conduct research and provide documentation for internal employee investigations, ensuring compliance and accuracy. • Manage and execute employee job changes, promotions, lateral moves, and demotions within HR systems. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring all relevant information is properly documented. • Request and manage headcount approvals based on business growth and productivity needs. • Collaborate effectively with Talent Acquisition, HR teams, and Compensation groups using shared tools and processes. • Oversee internal system approvals for employee-related actions, including new hires, transfers, and promotions. • Apply knowledge of performance management, talent acquisition, and rewards practices to address HR issues and downstream impacts. • Counsel employees on career development and provide coaching to other HR team members. • Partner with HR colleagues to administer programs aimed at reducing turnover and enhancing employee satisfaction. • Coordinate onboarding activities, including first-day orientations and engagement with onboarding buddies. Requirements • Proficiency in HR software such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce. • Strong knowledge of benefit functions, compliance standards, and employee relations practices. • Experience with FMLA and other related employment laws and regulations. • Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with employees, managers, and HR teams. • Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in documentation and processes. • Familiarity with performance management and talent acquisition processes. • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams. • Previous experience in HR investigations and providing career development guidance.
