A Montana operated credit union in the Gallatin Valley is hiring a HR Generalist in Helena, MT. This Montana organization has been in business for over 80 years and continues to be committed to creating a family orientated operation.

Essential Responsibilities:  Represent the HR department in a professional manner with a positive attitude  Handles all administrative tasks for onboarding including data entry in human resources information systems New-hire orientations and set up training schedules as needed and per hiring manager instruction Complete exit interviews Operate as primary backup to the HR Manager in the areas of payroll and benefit information; audit payroll reports to ensure accuracy for salary increases, benefit and payroll deductions, and other payroll adjustments Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and procedures when necessary Respond to human resource related inquiries. Helps train management on human resource related topics

Preferred Qualifications: One year to three years of similar or related experience. Education: A two-year college degree, or completion of a specialized certification or licensing
