HR Generalist

Description We are in search of an HR Generalist to join our team, based in Portage, Wisconsin. Your role will involve overseeing various aspects of human resources practices and processes, from recruitment to compliance. This role offers an exciting opportunity within the industry and an integral part of our team.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate recruitment processes including identifying sources, evaluating candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating new hire orientation.
• Administer and implement HR policies and programs, such as compensation, performance management, and learning and development initiatives.
• Ensure legal compliance with federal and state regulations related to human resources, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).
• Maintain all Human Resources-related records and ensure confidentiality and limited access according to procedure.
• Assist with worker's compensation and OSHA compliance programs.
• Handle communication with the union and manage union grievances.
• Assist with learning and development initiatives for all employees and ensure completion of assigned courses.
• Maintain accurate employee information in HRIS system.
• Continuously update professional and technical knowledge in areas of responsibility by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, researching topics, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Assist with all Human Resource functions including but not limited to answering HR questions, benefit enrollment, entering and processing new hires, changes and termination information, background checks, performance reviews, forms, policy updates and conducting stay and exit interviews. Requirements
• Bilingual in Spanish- A must
• UKG experience
• Solid understanding of Benefit Functions
• Recruitment experience
• Knowledge of Compliance in HR practices
• Experience in handling Employee Relations
• Familiarity with FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act)
• Proficient in Benefits Administration
