HR Generalist

Description
We are seeking an HR Generalist to join our team in the Energy/Natural Resources industry, located in Monmouth County, New Jersey. In this role, you'll provide essential support to our HR team, focusing on administrative tasks, ensuring the accuracy and organization of employee records, and aiding in the tracking of certifications.
Key responsibilities:
• Review and organize HR files, including employment records and other documentation
• Ensure all employee documents, including I-9 forms, are properly organized and up-to-date
• Monitor Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests and track leaves
• Track employee acknowledgments of company policies, including the company handbook and safety guidelines
• Verify that all health insurance rates are correctly applied for each employee
• Purge outdated HR paperwork in line with company policy and retention requirements
• Track OSHA certifications for all employees and ensure records are accurate and complete
• Perform general administrative tasks to support the HR department as needed
• Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures
• Assist with backlog work to support the HR team due to growth.
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a HR Generalist role within the Energy/Natural Resources industry
• Proficient in using ADP Workforce Now
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of HR Compliance and HR Policy
• Proven ability to manage Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) related issues
• Strong understanding of compliance regulations within the energy/natural resources industry
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
