HR Generalist
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a HR Generalist in the Professional Associations industry, based in LARGO, Maryland. This role involves a wide range of human resources duties, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and performance management. Responsibilities: • Assist with recruitment tasks such as job postings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews in collaboration with department managers. • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed. • Conduct orientation sessions to familiarize new employees with the company culture and policies. • Serve as a key point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, mediating and resolving conflicts in a fair and consistent manner. • Support the performance appraisal process by tracking timelines and providing guidance to managers. • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations. • Identify training needs and coordinate training sessions for employees, supporting career development initiatives and succession planning efforts. • Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and prepare reports and metrics related to HR functions for management review. • Experience with multiple HRIS systems including 'ADP - Financial Services', 'ADP Workforce Now', 'ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode', 'Ceridian', 'Dayforce' is required. • Skills in 'Benefit Functions', 'Communication', 'Compliance', 'Employee Relations', 'FMLA' are crucial for this role. Requirements • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now • Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode • Experience with Ceridian and Dayforce software • Sound understanding and management of Benefit Functions • Strong communication skills for effective internal and external interaction • Comprehensive knowledge of compliance regulations and best practices in HR • Proven track record in managing Employee Relations • Familiarity with FMLA regulations and their application in a workplace setting • Experience in a professional association or similar industry is preferred • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field is desirable • Relevant HR certification (such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus • Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
