HR Generalist
Description We are in search of an HR Generalist to join our team in the Williston, South Carolina. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and involves managing various HR functions such as recruitment, training, performance management, and onboarding/offboarding. Responsibilities: • Serve as the first point of contact for employee and management inquiries • Manage the recruitment process in collaboration with hiring managers • Foster and manage internal recognition programs • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in internal systems • Design and maintain metrics that reflect the performance of the business unit • Handle HR compliance according to US labor laws • Coordinate with benefits, Leave Management, and payroll teams on assigned tasks • Support the onboarding process for new associates and facilitate off-boarding for those leaving the business • Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) • Execute other department related duties as required and assigned • Utilize excellent communication, collaboration, influencing, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Manage multiple and conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines • Handle sensitive and confidential employee data professionally and discreetly. Requirements • Demonstrated expertise in managing Benefit Functions within a manufacturing environment • Proficient in maintaining Compliance with HR policies and labor laws • Strong Communication skills to effectively liaise with all levels of the organization • Proven experience in fostering positive Employee Relations • Practical knowledge of FMLA and its application in a manufacturing setting • Ability to handle Financial Reporting, External Reporting, and Data Reporting tasks • Familiarity with Compliance Reporting procedures and standards • Experience in the machinery manufacturing industry or similar industries • Knowledge of best practices in the Staffing industry • Skill in managing Employee Training programs and initiatives • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field • Relevant HR certification, such as PHR or SPHR, will be advantageous • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar HR Generalist role in the manufacturing industry • Proficient in using HRIS and other HR-related software for data management and reporting • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude to handle HR-related challenges • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
