Summary:
The HR Specialist will work closely with NuCO2 employees and management to drive communications, employee engagement, and learning and development initiatives. You will also support projects in employee relations, compensation & benefits, data analytics, among other human resources areas of focus. Successful candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. The HR Specialist must also demonstrate judgment and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information. This position will report to the Vice President of Human Resources and will be on-site at NuCO2’s corporate headquarters in Stuart, FL.
Responsibilities:
Draft human resources communications informing NuCO2 employees about upcoming events, activities, community engagement initiatives, promotion announcements, organization updates, important changes, process enhancements, etc. Lead NuCO2’s employee engagement efforts to include management of employee recognition programs, surveys, celebrations, anniversaries, company events, etc. Act as NuCO2’s learning management administrator driving required training programs and partnering with internal resources to support internal business initiatives Partner with NuCO2 management to identify training & development gaps, align needs, develop and execute programs Work closely with HR leadership and legal to help develop new policies and procedures, and drive implementation into the organization Process and administer leave of absence requests and disability paperwork to include medical, personal, disability, FMLA, change of life, events, etc. Support human resources reporting and analytics and obtain reports in our HR personnel system (UKG) Lead NuCO2 Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives to include Employee Resources Groups, recruitment, community engagement, and university partnerships Partner with our Global Giving team to identify and manage relationships with charities and non-profits Assist HRBP’s and managers with appropriate disciplinary action when necessary for safety and policy violations, and performance gaps including, verbal & written warnings, performance improvement plans and terminations Ensure accurate recordkeeping for personnel files is maintained, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance Clarify project objectives, develop and organize information, set project timelines, and drive to successful implementation Foster continuous improvement by analyzing data and processes, monitoring effectiveness, and identifying actions to reduce complexity and/or enhance operational performance Project Management support for various HR projects and initiatives Cross-train and support HR Coordinator with onboarding and new hire implementationQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field preferred A minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience Experience in the administration of Human Resources programs including compensation and benefits, learning and development, communications, policy and procedure development, recruitment, etc. Demonstrated presentation skills and experience partnering with management to develop programs to support employee attraction, retention and engagement Experience working independently and managing multiple projects and priorities Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Must be able to function well in a fast-paced team environment with the ability to work independently with little supervision Experience writing and implementing policies, procedures, or employee handbooks is preferred UKG Payroll and Cognos Business Intelligence experience preferred PHR, SHRM-CP or similar certification preferred
