HR Generalist
Johnson Service Group, a nationally award-winning staffing firm, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for a high growth construction firm in San Diego.

Direct Hire | Onsite | Salary range $75K-$85K based on experience  

Position Summary

Responsible for HR functions, including onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, 401(k) management, and annual reporting, while ensuring adherence to federal and state employment laws.

Responsibilities
•    Oversee new employee onboarding/offboarding and training processes.
•    Manage HRIS updates, reports, and employee file compliance.
•    Administer benefits, including enrollments, open enrollment, and monthly invoice reviews.
•    Oversee 401(k) plan, ensuring timely payments, enrollments, and annual reporting.
•    Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations (I-9s, OSHA 300, EEO-1, etc.).
•    Manage employee leaves of absence in line with state and federal guidelines.
•    Handle Worker’s Compensation claims and related processes.
•    Support annual reporting (e.g., 5500, 1095) and policy implementation.
•    Ensure mandatory training documentation and manage ETP state training program.

Qualifications 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent work experience).
•    3-5 years of HR experience.
•    Knowledge of state and federal HR regulations and standard policies.
•    Proficiency with HRIS systems.
