Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Sr. HR Manager, the HR Generalist provides a broad range of expert services: recruitment and succession planning; employee development and training; employee relations; employment law and policy interpretation, compensation, and classification management; employee rewards/recognition; and regulatory compliance guidance and HR reporting. This is a warehouse HR role working onsite. The schedule is predominantly first shift; however, there is a need for flexibility to support the first hour or two of the second shift.


Primary Responsibilities:

Aid in execution of the Pactiv Evergreen People Strategy processes that attract, develop, recognize, and retain employees to support the organization's short- and long-term strategic business needsManage special projects in workforce management, strategic planning, quarterly/monthly people data reports and other ad-hoc works in progress.Collaborate with talent acquisition (TA) teams to align hourly and salaried site staffing strategies via recruitment and onboarding tasksUtilize the performance, talent, and organizational planning management systems to help drive the achievement of company goals through objective and development plan setting, performance calibration, and talent developmentGuide site Leadership on all people management and development issuesBuild and maintain relations with employees to promote and foster an environment of open communication and transparent feedbackConduct investigations, provide coaching, and document findings, when requiredManage all HR admin and compliance tasks, including UKG/Workday actions, payroll, leaves of absence (LOA), Federal/State/Company employment law compliance, and various related other tasks.  Maintain effective health/safety policy and procedures to comply with corporate and regulatory requirements, these activities include but are not limited to Safe Operating Procedures, Lockout/Tagout, Hearing Conservation, Fall Prevention/Protection, and Powered Industrial TrucksOther duties as assigned Qualifications

Qualifications / Certifications:

Bachelor’s (BA or BS) in Human Resource Management or related field (e.g., Business, Organizational Communication, Industrial Psychology or equivalent HR experience requiredMinimum of 3 years of experience in a professional level Human Resources Generalist role including; employee relations, investigations, benefits, payroll, onboardingHR experience in a Manufacturing Plant, Distribution Center, or Warehouse environment is requiredExperience with Microsoft Office Suite as well as HRIS systems. Workday and/or UKG experience preferredThorough knowledge of employment law and regulationsStrong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals at all levels of the organizationStrong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to analyze issues, determine appropriate solutions and resolve sensitive problemsAbility to work independently, reliably and allocate time efficientlyAbility to travel to other Pactiv locations for training and/or support functions bi-weeklyBilingual Spanish and English a plusWilling and able to work onsite Monday-Friday AND until 8pm twice a week

 

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $71,300 - $118,800 + bonus + benefits.  The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   At Pactiv Evergreen, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
