**HR Generalist - Mexico**
**Employment Type: Full Time**
**Job Summary**
Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced, motivated HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on complex employee relations and organizational change to ensure a compliant, high-performing, and respectful workplace.
This highly matrixed role works closely with HR Business Partners and HR Centres of Excellence to deliver consistent, effective, and globally aligned HR solutions tailored for local needs.
**What You'll Do**
In this role, you will:
+ Lead the local execution of reorganizations and reductions in force (RIFs), including managing compliance, consultation, and severance to ensure smooth and legally sound transitions.
+ Manage inquiries and escalations from employees and people leaders, providing expert coaching and advice on performance management, employee relations, and policy interpretation to resolve issues effectively.
+ Ensure compliance with local labor laws and organizational standards by maintaining strong relationships with unions and works councils, leading labor negotiations, and adapting HR policies to meet local legislation.
**What You'll Bring**
The ideal candidate will have:
+ Strong knowledge of local Mexican labor laws, employment legislation, and HR best practices to mitigate legal risk.
+ [5-7] years of progressive experience in Human Resources, specifically managing employee relations, organizational change, and labor relations in Mexico.
+ Proven ability to navigate complex, sensitive employee issues with sound judgment, and build trusted relationships with stakeholders across a matrixed organization.
+ Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP/SCP (Society for Human Resource Management - Certified Professional / Senior Certified Professional), CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development), or a local equivalent, and full professional proficiency in Spanish and English.
