Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic HR Head for Turkey. This role is critical in driving organizational development, shaping our company culture, and aligning people strategies with business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess proven expertise in organizational development, culture transformation, and talent strategies, along with a deep understanding of local market dynamics and employment laws. This position serves as a key strategic business partner, responsible for developing, executing, and managing initiatives, projects, events, and policies that promote employee growth and engagement while upholding Takeda’s values and priorities through PTRB: Patient, Trust, Reputation, Business and Takeda-ism. The HR Head will ultimately be accountable for all HR outcomes within the country, the responsibilities of this role include:

Driving people experience and engagement.Overseeing talent management, talent acquisition, and organizational effectiveness.Leading learning & development initiatives.Managing total rewards, labor & employee relations, and planning & insights.As a trusted member of the Country Leadership Team, the HR Director will set a strategic agenda and ensure its global deployment, while maintaining a deep understanding of the function, external dynamics, and customer needs. Additionally, this role is a vital part of the Area HR Leadership Team, serving as a transformative leader by building agile and high-performing HR capabilities within the embedded HR team.

Organizational Development & Culture ShapingLead the design and execution of organizational development initiatives to enhance company culture and employee engagement.Partner with leadership to shape and embed a high-performance, inclusive, inspiring and collaborative culture.Develop and implement strategies that promote a continuous learning environment and adaptability to change.Conduct organizational diagnostics and recommend initiatives to improve structure, processes, and capabilities.

Strategic HR LeadershipAct as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, providing strategic insights on people and organizational matters.Drive the implementation of HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with business goals.Ensure workforce planning aligns with current and future business needs.

Talent Management & DevelopmentOversee talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to build a strong talent pipeline.Design and implement leadership development programs to support the growth of key talent.Manage performance management processes, ensuring alignment with business goals.Employee Engagement & Change ManagementDevelop innovative initiatives to improve employee satisfaction and engagement across the organization.Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions during organizational changes.Serve as a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.Compliance & Operational ExcellenceEnsure compliance with Turkish labor laws and employment regulations.Oversee HR operations, including payroll, benefits, and employee relations, to maintain operational excellence.To act in-line with Takeda’s “Information Security Policy” and “Acceptable use of the Technology Policy”Being a Quality Ambassador communicating product quality issues to Quality Team in a timely mannerExcels ethical behavior: Act with integrity and as a role model for Takeda's values, ethics and values-based decision making (Takeda-ism) at all times.Training & Compliance: Timely completion of all mandatory global trainings and compliance with Takeda policies & proceduresSpeak-up for Integrity: Raising concerns in a good faith to Ethics Line, first line manager and/or E&C Team

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.Fluent in Turkish & English language (writing, reading, and communication).10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Strong expertise & proven track record in organizational development and culture transformation.Demonstrated ability to design and implement people strategies that drive business performance.Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.Comprehensive knowledge of Turkish labor laws and HR best practices.Experience working in a multinational or matrixed organization is a plus.Strategic thinking and the ability to translate strategy into actionable initiatives.Strong influencing and change management skills.High emotional intelligence with a focus on collaboration and inclusivity.Results-driven with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.Adaptability and resilience in navigating a dynamic business environment.Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Industry and HR knowledge: Understands the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and healthcare industries and corporate functions; curious and up to date on current and future trends related to a broad spectrum of Human Resources practices; has a solid understanding of country laws, provincial legislation, and government regulations.
