Roles Available in Location: GSK HQ (London), Stevenage Education required: To apply for this placement, you must be: Currently studying an Undergraduate Degree in HR, Business Management, Psychology, or other. Please read the degree requirements for each role carefully before applying. Other requirements: You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of your undergraduate degree but will not have graduated at the start of your placement. You must be enrolled at a UK (United Kingdom) or ROI (Republic of Ireland) University for the duration of your placement. If you have already graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree and are currently studying a postgraduate Masters, you are not eligible for this programme. Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English Expected Start date: July 2025 Duration: 1 year (approximately) Salary: A salary of £27,100 (GSK HQ) or £25,400 (all other locations) plus a bonus. You will join IPUnite, GSK’s community of over 250 students across all UK sites and business areas, run by the Industrial Placement students committee and will receive access to GSK resources, including employee assistance programmes, private healthcare, and well-being programs. The Roles (3 available) This advert contains multiple roles. Please read each role carefully before proceeding as you will be asked to provide a preference later in the application process. Role 1 – R&D Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Talent Overview of the Department You will work with the R&D (Research and Development) Early Talent Team to ensure the Global early talent programmes run smoothly and deliver impact to support GSKs ambition. Working within this team will be fast-paced, exciting and full of opportunities. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the entire lifecycle of our talent programmes through attraction, recruitment, development and offboarding. Not only will you gain plenty of exposure to the HR and Talent organisations, but there will also be great opportunities to expand your knowledge of R&D. Key Placement Activities Supporting Onboarding programme for new employees starting in R&D. Supporting recruitment, selection, development and tracking of future talent programme cohorts and summer students. Work with hiring managers to create compelling advertisements and construct internal communications. Assist in collation and tracking of metrics to support recruitment and the diversity agenda. Lead after action reviews and implement process improvements. Working across boundaries, with colleagues in a multitude of countries to gain global awareness and experience, whilst building a strong network of HR contacts in the UK. Role 2 – Global Finance Capabilities HR Overview of the Department You will work with the Global Finance Capabilities & Early Talent Team to ensure the Finance early talent programme and capability events run smoothly and deliver impact to support GSKs ambition. Working within this team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the finance talent programme through recruitment, development and offboarding. There will also be opportunities to support programmes, like Women in Finance, UK One Finance I&D and UK One Finance development & network team. Key Placement Activities Organise internal events both virtual and face to face for our Finance graduate programme. Assist in collation and tracking of metrics to support talent programmes and our diversity agenda. Support our GSK Unlocked programme for students with a socially diverse background. Event management: plan and implement webinars and other events associated with Global Finance development days. Regular monitoring of new starters to enrol in relevant training. Development of communications and marketing for Finance developments events both in the UK & Globally. Role 3 – Early Careers Recruitment Overview of the Department You will support the Early Careers Recruitment (ECR) team to engage, attract and hire high quality, qualified candidates across our Early Careers pipelines – including Apprentices; Interns (including Industrial Placements), and Graduates – with a continuous focus on DE&I (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion). This role will allow you to develop an understanding of how & why we recruit talent to help delivery GSK’s ambitions; the wider Early Careers & talent landscape; the impact of work on internal and external stakeholder groups; and how we fit within wider HR and GSK. Key Placement Activities Support Attraction Specialist with UK (and global) ET Website content refresh and ongoing updates. Ensure all UK ETR roles are posted through partner sites – including university/school websites. Coordination of Events - such as ‘Careers Collaboration’ (for University Careers Advisers) and ‘GSK Revealed’ (for first year students). Attend and run Apprentice career insights events / webinars directly & / or through partners. Engage and leverage current Early Talent (Apprentices, Interns, Grads) to attend attraction & engagement events. Internal Ambassador Training development and delivery (under supervision of Attraction Specialist). Proactive management of Video My Job training and edits before roles are live on our website. Creating new content where appropriate - supporting Social Media campaigns & update engaging content on partner websites. Create / share ‘News’ and articles to share through recruitment process (working with comms / brand).
