Job Summary:

Horizon BCBS seeks a self-directed HR intern with a passion for diversity & inclusion, and work/life programs. The intern will actively contribute to diversity program planning and work closely with a mentor and with senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

Participate in all internship activities and events scheduled during normal business hoursAssist with research, planning, and implementation of strategic corporate initiatives related to the DEI teamSupport the development and implementation of new resources and trainings with members of the teamContribute innovative ideas and share best practices relevant to HR/DiversityMaintain knowledge of current hot topics in the DEI spaceSupport daily management of 9 Employee Resource GroupsAttend internal DEI eventsDraft monthly DEI communications for the organization

Requirements:

Requires High School DiplomaPursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Human Resource Management or related fieldStrong verbal and written communication to effectively communicate with employees of all levelsSuperior interpersonal, influencing and persuasion skills as well as excellent relationship building skillsStrong work ethic and attention to detailAbility to multi-task and to navigate relationships and time constrains effectively.Strong orientation to technology and excellent PC skills.(MS Office)Self-directed and motivated

Location: 3 Penn Plaza Newark NJ – Hybrid Work Schedule

Schedule: 8am-5pm (9 hour work day with lunch)

Duration: 11 week Summer Internship Program (June 2, 2025 – August 15, 2025)
