Job Responsibilities: What you will do

Provide day-to-day operational support for all HR Business Partners and HR Leadership. As an entry level professional, this position sets the tone as the cultural ambassador for all applicants and employees and monitors the 'pulse' of employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement. Receive and handle all documentation related to LOA, Unemployment and Employment Verification. Ensure company is in compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Provide general assistance to leaders, employees and/or candidates to questions related to employment, on-boarding and/or leave of absence.Provide HRBP's with support related to employee engagement, department metric reports and special projects as requested..Review incoming unemployment claims and prepare packets for appeal process while working closely with leadership to confirm information is accurate.Monitor unemployment hearing requests/appointments and ensure all parties have appropriate information and prepare leaders participating as witnesses of expectation to the unemployment hearing process.Review all drivers and non-driver's I-9s and/or work authorizations to ensure they are complete and in compliance with federal regulations and ensure all non-driver pre-employment processes are successfully completed in a timely mannerProvide recommendations to leadership pertaining to employment status as it relates to expiring work authorizations.Run monthly e-verify reports to ensure federal and company compliance.Review employment verification and wage and salary information requests; direct requests to third party vendor and handle remaining requests as appropriate.Administer, facilitate and communicate leave of absence requests, including validating eligibility for leave of absence, collect, review and maintain medical certifications and protect health information as required under HIPPA.Determine certification extensions and FMLA approval or denial for basic leaves where designations can be clearly made within the parameters of the FMLA regulations and leave policies and procedures.Provide timely and accurate communication to HR, Safety, Payroll and Employee Leader regarding any circumstances or changes in an employees leave that impacts leave time and/or employee's return to work and/or leave exhaustion.Calculate and track leave usage and exhaustion for employees on FMLA and MLOA. Ensure leave files are maintained in a manner complying with the FMLA's record keeping requirements.Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Qualifications: What you need to bring

2+ years' experience in administrative support role required.Previous experience in Human Resources preferred.Knowledge of ATS preferred.Associate's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.Must be able to work in a rapidly changing environment.Must be able to identify problems and develop appropriate solutions.Must be able to maintain high levels of confidentiality and discretion.Must be able to work well with others.Must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Must have high attention to detail.


Pay Range: $20.31 - $23.52 Hourly
