With increasing growth, our Hamburg site based in Finkenwerder is looking to add to the team with a HR Manager! Join our international team as soon as possible!
Collins Aerospace is one of the world’s leading providers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products. We develop, produce and maintain systems and components and offer integrated solutions for commercial, regional, business and military aircraft, helicopters and other platforms. We are an important supplier for international space programs.
The Hamburg facility provides engine and nacelle integration to Airbus via its proximity to the Final Assembly Line (FAL) at Finkenwerder.
This position reports to the European Integration HR Sites Lead and the Managing Director.
The Role:
Head of the HR function for the production site in Hamburg
Advice and support for managers and employees in all HR matters
Trusting cooperation with the works council
Responsibility for the site as part of the local management team
Continuous control, optimization and further development of all HR processes and systems
Preparation of regular reports, ad-hoc evaluations and statistics, as well as collaboration in the annual budget process
Active support in HR transformation – harmonization and centralization of HR work at the German and EMEA level with an international team – development from local generalist HR teams to hyperlocal experts (Shared Services, CoEs)
Every employee is expected to actively participate in Continuous Improvement activities and to know and use the internal CORE (Continuous Improvement) tools. In addition, each employee is required to comply with all RTX policies and guidelines including EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property and Global Trade Requirements.
Qualifications Required:
Completed studies with a focus on HR
Several years of experience in HR, ideally in a generalist HR function
Good knowledge of labour and works constitution law
Experience in working with social partners, esp. works council
Experience in a production environment desirable
Leadership experience is an advantage
Safe handling of O365 (esp. Excel, Teams), as well as experience with HR information systems (ideally Workday)
Language requirements: German fluent, English fluent
Entrepreneurial thinking, solution-oriented way of thinking and working
Hands-on mentality and high level of commitment
Strong communication and conflict management skills
