HR Manager

Silgan Dispensing Systems is a growing global company with operations in over 10 countries where we develop dispensing solutions for iconic brands in industries like fragrance, healthcare, home/garden, cosmetics, and so much more. Job Summary:

The HR Manager is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in a manufacturing plant and office settings. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. This position also maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition. This position will supervises 2-3 direct reports and serves as a coach and mentor for other positions in the facility.

Responsibilities:

Function as an internal consultant to management and others by helping them identify and resolve issues, encouraging excellent management practices, anticipating internal organization issues, proposing solutions, and understanding/representing the employee perspectiveDrive an inclusive culture throughout the organization using data, metrics, and industry best practiceProvide HR guidance and support to the business across a breadth of areas including talent management, employee development, performance management, change management and employee relationsSupport the EEO and Affirmative Action initiatives, assuring that training, communications, and policies are in place and functioning that address areas of under-utilization and assure compliance with corporate objectivesManages end-to-end hourly recruitmentFacilitate talent reviews and succession planning discussions and work with the business to ensure plans are actively put into practiceInvestigate claims of discrimination and harassment and serve as a resource for employees with related questions and concernsKeep abreast of current HR legislation and trends and assist in the updating of programs as requiredAll other duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP designation preferred.Prior supervisory experience.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong leadership skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.Ability to prioritize tasks to meet established timelines.Excellent attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal skills.Good organizational skills.Knowledge of GMP regulations preferred.Ability to travel by car to support recruiting efforts
