Role Summary:
Responsible for the strategic direction of HR and provide business partnering support to the business. Key accountabilities include providing leadership to Malaysia Shared Services HR functions, including Organizational Design & Development, Performance Management, Talent Management & Succession, Compliance & Integrity and Employee/Industrial Relations, and supporting Total Rewards and Talent Acquisition CoE.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Business Partnering
Works closely with Management Team to establish the HR / talent strategy and action plans, in support of the business.Act as contact point for employees in relation to all HR matters, related to policy, procedures, processes, career, performance/development and benefits programs.
Workforce Planning & Talent Acquisition
Partner leaders for workforce planning, analysis of manpower statistics and staff movement/turnover rate etc.Drive insight from HR data and provide monthly HR scorecard / dashboard.Support TA CoE to drive recruiting effectiveness to ensure the quality of hiring in line with the business growth and organization needs.
Talent & Performance Management
Support talent strategy and facilitate individual development plan of employees.Guide leaders on performance management, coaching, performance & development improvement processes, and ensure that reviews and feedback are carried out in an effective and timely manner through ACE process.Facilitate talent review and planning process (TRP), develop action plan for a healthier succession pipeline.Identify organization and talent capability gaps, identify learning and development needs.Recommend & implement various talent attraction, retention & engagement programs to assist the company to attain employer of choice status.Change Management & Organizational Development
Advice, support and guidance to leaders on effective human resource management practices and counselling.Provide coaching to business leaders and associates as part of development.Facilitate organization transformation initiatives, recommend and implement appropriate organizational development & change management measures.Employee Relations & Engagement
Organize regular employee communication, feedback, skip level and focus group meeting.Work with global/regional HR to roll out Annual Engagement Survey (Best Place to Work) initiatives.Analyze employee survey reports, facilitate and assist leaders to communicate results and roll out action plans to bridge the gap.Effective drive employee engagement programs to foster an engaging and inclusive culture.Effective management of labor relations and deal with various legal litigation matters as necessary.
Compensation & Benefits Management
Oversee all local policy, compensation and benefit programs.Closely work with Total Rewards CoE to Analyze, design & implement compensation & benefit programs to ensure the total reward system remains competitive in the local market.Facilitation of Annual Compensation Review process including salary increase and bonus allocation.Manage vendors and interface with Payroll vendor – monthly payroll, claims, tax reporting.
HR Policy & Procedures and Operations
Periodically review employee handbook to ensure that the HR policy & procedures are up to date.Facilitate employee life cycle activities: such as onboarding and offboarding.Local champion for Workday (Employee Database System).Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
At least 8 years HR experience within an international business environment, experienced HR generalist and solid experience in HR related functions, especially in Employee Relations, Organization Development & Talent Management.An undergraduate degree in HR management, business, or a related discipline; Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.Strong knowledge in Malaysia Labor Law.A demonstrated ability to successfully build business relationships with members of the operations and functional business support leadership teams, in order to effectively work towards achieving departmental objectives.Exceptional written, verbal and graphics communication capabilities.A demonstrated ability to manage by influencing others within the organization.Hands-on, detail-oriented and meticulous.Proactive, self-driven, good analytical and outstanding problem-solving skills.Able to work independently as well as in a team.Both oral and written English skills must be good, and be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Reasonable Accommodations
