HR Manager

As a Human Resources Manager you will have the opportunity to implement and coordinate policies and programs covering recruitment, employment, compensation, benefits, employee and/or labor relations, organization development, training, EEO and special projects.  Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by fostering a robust HR program that enhances employee engagement and retention.  The team you will be working with is collaborative and close knit, and values challenging work and diversity of thought. 

So, what will you be doing as a Human Resources Manager?

Assists location management by analyzing and supporting various company functions through Human Resources Ensures compliance with all applicable Federal and State laws affecting human resources, payroll and personnel Issues Compiles payroll data such as hours worked from time records, processes payroll, and verifies accuracy of payroll. Oversees and is responsible for HR communication with employees and to inform employees of current programs (and status), policies, regulations and procedures. Ensures the organizational structure is capable of handling the stated goals and is staffed with qualified personnel to reach those goals. Actively participates in the recruitment, selection and recommendation of personnel for all positions. Reviews resumes and applications. Interviews candidates for applicable positions. Generates and submits Compensation Approval and/or Requests for Replacement form. Develops “Offer of Employment” letters. Organizes and maintains all personnel records in compliance with applicable state and federal laws. Oversees all employee relation’s issues for assigned locations. Also oversees terminations, disciplinary documentation, and exit interviews. Assist management by analyzing and measuring stated employee performance/productivity levels through coordinating performance appraisals. Assist in the assessment and development of training programs for staff and management including ISO and job orientation. Analyze costs and recommends cost control measures with HR related programs. Reviews cost statements to locate excessive expenses. Works with department managers in developing and maintaining updated job descriptions. Keeps organizational charts updated. Provides assistance and direction to supervisors regarding wage reviews Represent company in unemployment insurance hearings.  Investigates all claims of discrimination and harassment documenting all employee interviews and investigation results.  Reviews and recommends policies and procedures for employee clarification and direction. Conduct and manage others in the recruiting process. Prepare and post advertisements and associated materials for open positions Handles personnel issues, work with and counsel management on how to respond to and resolve employment situations by interpreting company policies Research issues and resolve problems relating to the application of personnel policies and procedures Enforcement of employment law, Company policy, and EEO regulations Participate in employee/ management training on HR and general management issues Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, policy and procedure Must use discretion and independent judgment in decision-making.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

Five years of human resources manager experience (experience in a manufacturing environment required); or combination of education and experience. Operating knowledge of federal and state employment regulations including EEO and Immigration regulations Demonstrated experience in human resource management or planning Ability to develop and execute human resources strategies within a business organization Ability to lead organization efforts to drive cost and service improvements through effective human resources strategies and programs

Things we consider a plus:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related discipline.
