ROLE PURPOSE
The HR Manager works across both Production and Corporate environments.
Supporting our growing TV, Film & Theatre Production businesses in Australia and New Zealand the HR Manager, is responsible for providing HR leadership, advice and coaching to production leadership teams and contracted cast and crew members.
The HR Manager also provides support to corporate employees of Matchbox Pictures and Tony Ayres Productions and is responsible for managing the employee lifecycle, systems management, monthly payroll, NBCU HR Projects and employee engagement/training.
Reporting to the HR Director, Matchbox Pictures, you will drive HR strategies designed to ensure best in class employee and contractor experiences, embedding company policy and practice whilst managing situations as they arise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee Relations
Confident partner and problem solver with the ability to respond quickly and calmly to situations.Build confidence with Production leaders and become partner to Unit Production Managers, Line Producers, Producers and HOD’s.Provide daily HR support to all ANZ Matchbox TV employees, NBCU film Productions and live theatre shows including heavy employee relations, training and development, compensation, staffing and recruitment, work eligibility/visa support, performance management, ad hoc reporting and compliance with HR policies and procedures.Partner with Employment Law and other internal HR partners to resolve situations proactively and sensitive to the time pressure.Maintain accurate paperwork and case reporting as requiredBest Engagement Experience
Create an environment of positive employee relations by respecting confidentiality, establishing trust and credibility, being seen by employees as approachable and fair, and balancing business needs with employee needs.Attending and be visible on Productions as and when required.Be a leader for Respect in The Workplace training and policy, ensuring everyone attends training and compliance is upheld across all productions.Creating and executing HR strategies designed to enhance the engagement experience for the crew populations, particularly in driving wellbeing strategies.Working with the HR Director to deliver agreed strategies to create inclusive production environmentsLead and assist in the co-ordination and roll out of compliance training.Learning & Development

Manage the employee lifecycle for corporate employees, making those processes engaging and relevant.Manage monthly payroll submissions for the corporate employees.Maintain expertise in HR systems (SAP, MyHR, datacom), processes, and security to enable accurate submissions and reporting.Onboard, separate, and update employees in all applicable HR systems, as required.Collaborate with our global production HR teams in the US and UK, stepping in to help as required e.g. investigations etc.Special projects as required.QualificationsSKILLS / QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
