HR Manager - Performance & Culture

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for post-hire 90-Day retention processes and reducing pre-day turnover on a year over year basis. Responsible for the Performance Management process by training managers and supervisors on the PAR process. Ensures that appraisal ratings distributions are in-line with corporate guidelines and property customer service scores. Responsible for PAR and 90-day review process. Responsible for creating, monitoring and distributing company policies. Trains supervisors, managers and directors in Fair Employment Practices and applicable policies. Supports Team Member Engagement Initiatives by ensuring departments are using appropriate reward and recognition programs and progressive discipline processes. Improves the service of the Employee Relations and Engagement process. Manages the team member exit process in order to determine reasons for property turnover. Ensures every voluntary termination is followed up with and ensures appropriate termination codes are used. Provides guidance and counsel to managers, supervisors and team members in regards to FMLA and ADA issues. Responsible for team member investigations. Manages the company’s board of review process and unemployment process. Responsible for overseeing the Oracle Regulatory Compliance program. Responsible for all aspects of internal communications (i.e. memos, property portal update, etc.)

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred Minimum of 2 years of management experience Human Resources or related field, supervisory and communication experience preferred. Human Resources in Gaming or Hospitality industry is a plus

PHYSICAL, MENTAL and ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time (8 hours). Visual and auditory range must include immediate environment. Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.  Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property including stairs and escalators. Must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel.

 

Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy
environment and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products.  Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
