HR Operations & Payroll Specialist

Position Summary

The HR Operations & Payroll Specialist will be responsible for providing a full range of HR operations duties and support, including benefits administration, payroll and others.

Role and Responsibilities

HR Operations

Manage pre-boarding and on-boarding of new hires including temporary and permanent employees. This includes setting up profiles in the HR system, benefits enrolment, reporting details email, etc.Manage the off-boarding process including issuance of letters and payroll management.Handle work pass renewal and applicationsPrepare and issue employment certification letters including visa letters, certificates of service, reference checks, etc.Maintain and manage personnel data in e-file database, HRIS, and other authorities’ portals.Manage the medical, insurance and welfare benefits for the employees, and ensure vendors deliver against their agreed SLAs and with high levels of quality and customer experience.

Payroll Operations

Handle all regular and off-cycle payroll operations including validation and approvals, in close collaboration with Finance and HR Shared Services CentreEnsure correct data entry and calculations required for payroll processingHandle payroll recharges between entities as and when necessaryPrepare timely payroll reports for regular reporting, internal and external auditEnsure compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirementsEngage with employees to resolve any payroll issuesSupport in all payroll-related projects and duties to ensure continuous improvement in payroll proceduresKeeping abreast of various employment laws, and HR market trends and making recommendations to ensure market competitiveness and compliance

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Diploma in HR/ Finance/ Accounting in a relevant disciplineMinimum 3 years of payroll experience in a related field is requiredPossess hands on experience with work pass application and renewalProficient in labour laws, payroll & tax regulations in SingaporeStrong numerical aptitude and attention to detailsStrong sense of responsibility and urgency to handle confidential information and tasks in a timely mannerMust have: Strong proficiency on Excel (Knowledge of Macro is a plus)Experience with Workday is an advantage
