In this role you will be part of the US Human Resources team.

 

The aim of this position is lead and manage all HR Payroll and Benefits polices and practices aligned with Nexans USA.

 

Purpose:

Incumbent will be responsible for providing a variety of human resource services and employee relations support to include HR policies, procedures, and programs including employment, HRIS, payroll, benefits, safety, trainings, and partnering with all levels of our organization. The job holder will also be accountable for the payroll for employees in Charleston and benefit process for employees in Charleston & Nexans USA sites. He/she will also manage the relationship with the payroll/time & attendance providers.

 

HR Business Support & Partnering:

Participate in onboarding of new hires and new hire orientation. Acts as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, payroll, benefits. Actively promotes the Nexans culture. Cooperates and communicates at appropriate levels to provide for transparency within the business. Conduct on-boarding/off-boarding function.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

Charleston, New York and Texas: Liaison and administrator for employee benefits programs. Attend monthly broker meetings to review benefits performance. Participate in selection and negotiation of benefits plans. Serve as subject matter expert in administering all benefits programs. Oversee enrollments and ensure accurate benefit information is communicated to employees. Conducts payroll, benefits, time & attendance processing and administrative reporting. Administer Leave of Absence programs and follow-up with disability provider. Accountable for the payroll process for all staff Training supervisors and managers on ADP procedures. Accountable for the funding, administration and follow-up of the retirement savings plan(401k) for employees in the US. Accountable for the benefit billing administration & payroll administration/allocations (link with the providers) for employees in Nexans in the US. Coordination of Open Enrollment and new hire benefits enrollment. Compiling and sharing Expat tax filings with external accounting firm. Tracking LTI, SAR payouts, and ACT enrollments and tax liability. Tracking international transfers and foreign worker tax filings for external accounting firm. Other payroll projects as needed, e.g. new pay groups, audit support, etc.

 

HR Policies & Systems:

Assist in development and updating of local human resources policies and handbook. Maintains Human Resources Information System records and compiles reports from multiple databases.

 

Compliance:

Adheres to all Nexans High Voltage USA Safety Standards and Safe Work Practices. Follows and abides by Nexans Code of Ethics and Business Conduct Standards. Complies with federal and state regulations concerning employment, auditing, and reporting to include EEO/AAP, DOL, OSHA, ADA, FMLA, IRS, etc.

 

Key Interfaces include HR Leadership, Department Managers, Third Party Payroll and Benefits Providers

 

Required Competencies and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in HRM, Business Administration, or related field. Three to five years’ experience within the HR field, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience within compensation & benefits. Recruiting experience supporting a manufacturing environment. Strong HRIS and computer skills, preferably with ADP, KRONOS, Success Factors and Microsoft Office skills. Good communications and organizational skills. Must be flexible with working hours to accommodate HR functions. Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
